Hello neighbors! Labor Day is almost here. To prepare ourselves for this national holiday, here is a list of some of the fun things you can do near AV8 to celebrate all the hard workers of America.

Labor Day on the Embarcado

US Sand Sculpting Challenge & Dimensional Art Expo

Labor Day in San Diego

From August 31st to September 3rd get yourself tickets to the US Sand Sculpting Challenge & Dimension Art Expo. Stop by the San Diego Bay at 1000 North Harbor Drive to see master-class sculptors build beautiful 3-dimensional works of art. And if you decide to come by on Labor Day, it will be a great way to celebrate the holiday with a beach day.

Bayside Summer Nights – 1812 Tchaikovsky Spectacular

Labor Day in San Diego

Also happening from August 31st through September 2nd is the Bayside Summer Nights Tchaikovsky Spectacular. This summer night concert at the Embarcado will be featuring one of the greatest works of the iconic composer, Tchaikovsky. In particular, his 1812 Overture. In addition to a live performance of his music, there will be a grand fireworks display over the San Diego Bay! It is quite the spectacle and we would advise you to go get your tickets now.

Nighttime Shows at Balboa Park and Seaworld

Now, we have mentioned the nighttime zoo in a past blog post. However, visiting during Labor Day weekend is a lot of fun. Along with the regular festivities, there will be an epic firework show on Labor Day. Similarly, Seaworld will be hosting their own nighttime spectacular. Now through September 2nd, experience laser light shows and voyage into exotic underwater worlds. Experience the Electric Ocean performances and purchase your tickets here.

From fireworks with live music to a beach day with sand castles, there are so many unique ways to honor our hardworking Americans. So get planning and have a wonderful Labor Day.
