As we all know, living at AV8 means you are near some of the best restaurants in San Diego. That especially goes for seafood. However, there is no shortage of delicious food only 15 minutes away from Little Italy in Gaslamp.

Gaslamp Restaurant #1: Cafe Sevilla

Gaslamp restaurants

Take for instance Cafe Sevilla on 353 5th Ave. Offering an authentic Spanish ambiance, eating here makes you feel as though you were in Spain. When it comes to their signature dishes, we highly suggest their Scallops a la Plancha or the Paella. As far as side dishes are concerned, you cannot go wrong with their brussel sprouts and flatbread. Also, if you are with a large group, this is the perfect spot to take everyone for tapas.

Gaslamp Restaurant #2: Lou & Mickey’s

Then there is Lou & Mickey’s on 224 5th Ave. A great restaurant for large parties, Lou and Mickey’s can be considered as a steakhouse. That said, we cannot get enough of their filet mignon. They also have a wonderful cocktail menu. Whether you are looking for an exotic drink or are for the best steak in town, Lou & Mickey’s has your back, and stomach.

Gaslamp Restaurant #3: Osteria Panevino

Last up is Osteria Panevino on 722 5th Ave. Here is where you will go when you are looking for an authentic Italian dining experience. That especially goes for when you are in the Gaslamp area. With both indoor and outdoor seating, Panevino has the classic Italian decor. As far as their menu goes, they have an irresistible Mushroom Risotto. However, of everything they have to offer, their desserts are otherworldly. In particular their Tiramisu.

Along with being a wonderful place to take in the city and people watch, Gaslamp is a restaurant hot spot. So head on over to 5th street to any of these restaurants and have yourself a fantastic dining experience. ENJOY!
