This coming Sunday is a very important day. Even though all us Little Italy families show our love to our moms daily, this weekend is the ultimate mom appreciation day. As you have already guessed, it is Mother’s Day this weekend! Here at AV8, we value both community and family. That said, we have taken it upon ourselves to give you a list of the best ways to celebrate Mother’s Day in San Diego.
Mother’s Day Brunch at the Westgate Hotel
No mom can resist a brunch. Additionally, you can be sure there is no shortage of brunches happening in the area. However, our favorite is about 10 minutes away from AV8. The Mother’s Day Champagne Brunch at the Westgate Hotel takes brunch to the next level. This particular feast is serving up the best Mother’s Day treats. This feast includes fresh seafood, customized omelets, and mini doughnuts. This award-winning brunch goes from 1 PM to 3 PM. Tickets are priced for adults at $89 and $35 for kids. Also, we highly suggest you reserve your table now. So, for all those families looking to add an extra spark to your Mother’s Day celebration, head to the Westgate Hotel. The customized menus with a glass of champagne will have her beaming.
If the Westgate Hotel brunch sells out too soon, do not fret. We also suggest the brunch at La Valencia Hotel. For all the families with tons of young ones, enjoy your Mother’s Day brunch at the San Diego Zoo at Alberts Restaurant.
Mother’s Day Afternoon Teas
Looking to be cute and quaint on Mother’s Day? Great choice! The best way to do so is to head on over to one of the many afternoon teas. For all the single mothers out there, we highly suggest heading to Westgate Hotel. From the 11th to the 12th from 2:30 PM to 5 PM, they are hosting their Mother and Daughter Tea Time in the grand lobby. Tickets for adults are $50 and $35 for kids. Paired with finger sandwiches and butter pastries, you and your little one will have a spectacular time! Feel free to celebrate the timeless tradition of afternoon tea with mom at the Grant Hotel. They are hosting their downtown Abby themed tea afternoon on May 12th from 1 PM to 3 PM. Prices are at $59 for adults and $35 for kids. The menus for both adults and kids will keep everyone smiling all day long.
San Diego Botanical Garden Chocolate Festival
If tea isn’t her game than treat her to chocolate. More specifically, the Chocolate Festival at the San Diego Botanical Garden. This chocolate extravaganza is happening the day before on May 12th from 9 AM to 4:30 PM. Just like your mother’s love, the chocolate tastings with live music and an irresistible ambiance is heavenly. Best of all, admission is free with only a $1 charge for tasting tickets.
Whether it is a classy brunch or afternoon tea, Little Italy is here to give you the best Mother’s Day activities EVER! So get to it and start celebrating the most important part of your family, your mom.Back To Main
